Train the Trainer

Challenge

The Train-the-Trainer course aimed to improve the understanding and implementation of digital idea management within the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs). Before the course, there was a limited understanding of this concept within the EDIHs. The course enabled representatives of these hubs to deliver training on “Digital Innovation Management” to their client companies, which mainly consist of SMEs and mid-sized companies.

Methods

To address this challenge, an EDIH-CIMO service provided support in the form of training sessions on innovation management. The workshop was divided into three parts and covered different aspects of digital idea management:

Part 1: Added value of digital idea management:

  • Introduction to digital idea management: Understanding the basics and principles of digital idea management.
  • Tasks and roles in digital idea management: Identifying the responsibilities and functions required to effectively manage digital ideas.

Part 2: Processes, methods and tools in digital idea management:

  • Incentives and gamification: Exploring strategies to motivate and engage participants in the idea management process through incentives and gamified elements.
  • Idea management tools: Introduction to various tools and platforms that facilitate the collection, evaluation and implementation of digital ideas.

Part 3: Building and engaging the community – From ideas to successful marketing:

  • Crowd Business: Engaging the crowd: Understanding how to leverage the collective intelligence of the community to generate and refine ideas.
  • Crowd Campaign: Building the Crowd: Strategies for building and nurturing a community of contributors and supporters, from idea generation to successful commercialization.

Result, Impact
